THE DAY AFTER....
Monday morning, and there is still no school for Julia. They called it off late last night due to the large amounts of snow blocking the bus stops....not to mention the snow, sleet, and rain which are forecast for today - can someone say "flooding"? Fortunately for us, we never lost power. And being home bound gave me a chance to to some serious housecleaning!
Though we had a mess to deal with, given that it has been a "snowless" winter, the storm was exciting. Saturday was still windy and stormy, but that didn't stop Julia from heading outside. By the afternoon, the winds died down and it was easier to shovel. Sunday was gorgeous and oh-so bright with all the freshly plowed piles of white snow.
Here are some random pictures from Saturday during the storm.

The wind gusts gave us amazing snowdrifts. In some parts of the driveway you could see the ground, and then in other areas, the snow was about 5 feet tall.
Chow for now,
Cyndi
I'm glad you were safe and had fun with the storm. Love the pictures! We had a lot of fun too!
